This One Minute Meditation is specifically designed for a quickie grounding.
If you’re feeling un-grounded, you might notice that you feel dizzy or flighty, have vertigo, have trouble keeping track of your thoughts.
There are lots of great ways to ground yourself throughout the day.
Brenda and I often recommend to one another to, “get your feet in the dirt”. Of course getting outside is one of the best ways to ground.
If you live in the land of winter (as I do) this can be easier said than done for a big chunk of the year.
While there’s no best substitute for being in nature, bringing the outdoors inside can help to ground you also (a friend used this term recently at our Reiki Level One course).
The idea behind this is that you surround yourself with as much outside as possible.
This could take form of a fountain or salt lamp, crystals, rocks, or other outdoor artefacts like feathers, plants or terrariums, essential oils. Think of creative ways to incorporate the four elements into your indoor life.
Another great grounding tool is a salt bath. If you can’t sneak away for a bath midday, keeping a salt scrub for your hands next to the sink can be helpful.
Salt Scrub Recipe:
- coconut oil
- epsom salt
- cane sugar
- any botanicals you like (lavender buds, lemon zest, essential oils)
For a quick work day grounding, you could whip up some salt scrub and listen to the following meditation while you cleanse away any of the yucks that sometimes keep us feeling flaky.
With lots of love,
