Playlist Thursday – Beatin’ the Mid-Winter Blues
Some songs just make me feel like summer. It is decidedly not summer here in the East Koots (and a lot of the rest of the country as well) but I feel the sunshine in my heart these days…Could it be because there are only fifty three short days until my fam and I will be poolside in Palm Springs? Perhaps. Either way, music and movement are two of the best ways I know of to get sunny inside even when it’s crappy outside.
Some of these songs remind me of the warmth and freedom of summer because they are…about summer. Some of the reasons are autobiographical (which, if you’ve been reading this page for any length of time, you will be unsurprised by). A lot of them are throwbacks to my childhood and nostalgic favesies.
