I’m too busy teaching yoga today to make a playlist! What a problem to have! Life is grand.
My darling husband just took care of our outrageous cell phone bills by putting us on a Small Business Plan. You know what that means? I have 6 gigs of data! Hallelujah.
So today I’m streaming. slacker.com is a great free site with tons of live-stream tuneage and cool themes to choose from.
For this morning’s yoga therapy class, I streamed the Spa station. It was perfect.
This evening’s class is gonna get My Parents’ Record Collection. Is anyone else as excited by this prospect as I am???
Slacker asked all their Facebook pals to weigh-in as to the first record/song they remember jamming out with their parents to.
For me (thanks, Mom and Daddy) I remember listening to Building the Perfect Beast by Don Henley (at his angsty best) and Born in the USA by The Boss. Those are damn fine early music memories in this gal’s opinion.
I’ve got this station on while I write and the first song to play was Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror which always makes me a bit teary (no shock there).
Isn’t it amazing how songs dog-ear our lives? Monday, Monday by The Mamas and The Papas reminds me of their Greatest Hits tape which my dad used to play on roadtrips…
I’d love to hear your thoughts and feelings on the subject!
What’s the first song you ever remember loving? The more embarrassing, the better!
